Young Scientist Support & Best Poster Award

Young Scientist Support

The organizing committee has established "Young Scientist Support" to get financial support for young scientists from outside of Japan. Recipients will be selected from applicants who submitted an excellent abstract. The detail of the application is as follows:

1) Support
90,000JPY (or less) / entry for 6 (or less) entries
2) Qualification of applicant
-- Applicants should have submitted an abstract for oral/poster presentation.
-- Applicants should be under 35 years old.
-- Applicants should be participants/students from outside of Japan.
3) How to apply
Applicants for this support should send an e-mail to the secretariat (aab2@agr.u-ryukyu.ac.jp) to tell application.
The headline of the e-mail should be "application for financial support". In the e-mail, name and affiliation of the applicant, name of the mentor or PI (principal investigator), date of birth of the applicant should be written.
Besides, an e-mail from his/her mentor or PI, which certificates the position (student/post-doc etc.) of the applicant, is also required. The headline of this e-mail should be "certificate for the young scientist". In this e-mail, name, title and affiliation of the mentor or lab PI, name of the applicant, certification of the position of the applicant, the reason for the application should be written.
4) Deadline of application
September 30th. (for both e-mails)
5) Selection of recipients
The ICAAB organizing committee members will determine the recipients from the applicants by evaluating the abstracts and e-mails. The outcome of the selection will be noticed individually by e-mail at the beginning of October, not later than October 7th. The recipients will be awarded the scholarship at the conference.

Best Poster Award

The organizing committee has established "Best Poster Award". This award will be given for the best poster presentation. All poster presentations are eligible and among them, 2-3 entries will be determined for it. The winners will be selected after judging the presentation at the conference and they will be announced and awarded the prize at the banquet on November 13th.
