Call for Papers <Closed>

We are calling for papers for oral and poster presentations for the following sessions:

Session 1
Traditional Vinegar Fermentation
Session 2
Classification & Molecular Phylogeny, and Ecology of AAB
Session 3
Bioprocess & Bioengineering with AAB
Session 4
Physiology & Biochemistry of AAB
Session 5
Oxidative Fermentation & Useful Product Formation, and Enzymology of AAB


Please refer to the presentation timeline for oral presentations and the board size for poster presentations in the "Instruction for Presenters" site.

The applicants for the presentation are required to send their name, contact address, desired session (the first choice and he second choice), and oral or poster presentation by e-mail to the secretariat of the conference (aab2@agr.u-ryukyu.ac.jp) with an abstract as an attachment of the e-mail. Please put the title "aab2 abstract" in your e-mail. Upon receipt of your abstract, your application will be accepted. The deadline of abstract submission is July 31, 2008. Final decisions on the presentation session and oral/poster will be made by the organizing committee.


Instruction for Abstract Preparation

Please prepare your abstract in accordance with the instructions mentioned below. The file format should be MS-Word or RTF of other word processing program.

Language

All abstracts must be written in English.


Page layout

The size of the published page is 21.0 x 29.7 (A4). Abstracts should be of one page, prepared to this size.

Margins should be set at 3.5cm top and 3.0cm bottom, 3.0cm both sides.

The title, authors' names and affiliation should use the whole width of the page.

All manuscripts must be typed in Times New Roman font.


Title and authors

Use font size 14 point and set to the left.

One line space should be left, then authors' names (forename then surname), 12pt set to the left. Superscript letters should be used to indicate authors with different affiliations.

The surname of the presenting author should be underlined.

One line space should be left, then the authors' affiliations are typed by font 12pt, set to the left.

The address of at least the presenting author should be followed by his/her e-mail address.


Text

The font size used should be 11pt with single line spacing.

The first line of each paragraph shuld be indented by 4 characters. No line space should be left between paragraphs.


References

References should be numbered in order of thier appearance in the text. They should be cited in the text by number.

References, identified by their numbers should be typed in sequence at the end of the text.

They should be typed in 11pt font size and should give in order; authors' names (initial, surname), abbreviated title of journal (in italics), volume number (bold), first and last pages, year (in brackets). E.g.

Acknowledgements should be given at the end of the main text, proceeding the list of references.


Figures, Table, Formulae

Any Figures, Tables, formulae or schemes should be inserted in the appropriate place in the text, with a clear space above and below. Captions should be typed underneath, font size 10pt.

If it is essential to include a figure or scheme that covers the whole width of the page, this should be placed at the bottom of the page, below all the text.

Auhors should consult the accompanying example which has been prepared according to these instructions.
