Noyori Memorial Conference Hall is a building constructed on the campus of Nagoya University to celebrate Nobel Prize winning Professor Ryoji Noyori of the university. This facility accommodates an international conference room well-equipped for the presentation and discussion of research and has been used for many national and international conferences. It is located in a serene environment surrounded by trees and is well suited for fruitful academic exchanges.

About Nagoya

A central city of Central Japan, Nagoya is located midway between Tokyo and Kyoto, and has the 4th largest population nationwide. Various industries are well developed and the city benefits from Nagoya Bay, one of Japan's leading international trade ports. Nagoya offers a genial climate and a comfortable life. There are 20 universities and junior colleges in Nagoya City, making Nagoya a center for research and education in Central Japan.

Nagoya has a long history and has undergone dramatic development since the 16th century. The city surrounds Nagoya Castle, which was constructed in 1610 by Ieyasu Tokugawa, the 1st General of Tokugawa Shogunate. The castle is one of the three most famous castles in Japan and continues to be a well-known tourist attraction.

Incidentally, Toyota City, the home of Toyota carmaker, is approximately 20 km from Nagoya City.
